FAQ

Business days calculator FAQ

What counts as a business day?

A business day is usually Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and any holidays your company, client, or contract does not count as working days.

Does this calculator include the start date?

For counting between two dates, the calculator lets you choose whether to include the start date and end date. For adding or subtracting workdays, the start date is treated as day zero.

Can I exclude holidays from the count?

Yes. Add holidays as YYYY-MM-DD dates separated by commas or new lines. The calculator removes those dates from the business day total if they fall on a weekday.

How do I calculate a deadline that is 10 business days from today?

Choose Add workdays, set the start date to today, enter 10 workdays, and add any holidays you need to exclude. The result is the next deadline date after 10 working days.

Are business days the same as calendar days?

No. Calendar days count every day on the calendar. Business days count only working days, usually Monday through Friday, after excluding weekends and selected holidays.
